Shawhead Primary Update September 2022
The school welcomed back 15 pupils this session and another busy year lies ahead with our diary already filling up with visits and visitors.
The older children (P6 & 7) have transition afternoons at the North West Community Campus on a regular basis throughout the session.
Our Active Schools Department are holding Playleader sessions and running a lunch club during September. We have also signed up for Curling, Rugby and for the Queen of the South Staff to run football sessions.
A visit to The Bridge to attend the Scottish Youth Film Festival take place shortly for our P6 & 7s where they will take part in workshops and learn about filmmaking.
Financial Education sessions are booked in for all our children.
Finally, our Primary 7 group will be attending Operation Safety at DG1 in Dumfries where they meet personnel from the following services – Scottish Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service, SP Energy Networks and Youth Work.
