Our community is entitled to apply for grants from Annandale and Nithsdale Community Benefit Company (ANCBC) which administers funds on behalf of the owners of Harestanes windfarm. The annual grant is up to £2000. However, it is a condition of each annual grant that it be spent on suitable community projects and, if not fully so spent, then only the lesser amount will be available in the following year.
Grant money is paid over to the Irongray Community Trust to hold and administer on behalf of the community
Accordingly, the Community Council welcomes applications for funding for local projects for consideration. Local input is appreciated both to give us ideas how the monies can best be spent on behalf of the community and to ensure we do not miss out on available funds.
